How skilled at their craft and what do you look for?
Diploma holders have proved that they hold the very highest theoretical skills. The diploma is a 5 module tough exam requiring much midnight oil.
Time served? Good experienced Instructors have spent many years gaining experience and skills.
Pass rate - A good Instructor has a much higher pass rate than average.
Extra qualification such as advanced driving/teaching skills.
Membership of trade bodies such as DIA.
Instructors personal qualities - Your instructor should be patient and friendly. Allways keen to identify and discuss problems in a positive way, to anlyse and offer solutions to correct them. They should offer praise and feedback in a non-discriminatory way.
